Three generations of selecting seed for real fields.
Brand Seed began as a family selection plot and grew into a dedicated breeding house. We never chased the fastest launch — we chased varieties that hold up in the heat, the salt and the seasons our growers actually face. Every packet we sell has spent years in trial before it earns our emblem.
Our mission
To put dependable, locally-adapted genetics in the hands of every grower we serve — and to stand beside them from sowing to harvest.
Research philosophy
Breed slowly, trial widely, measure honestly. A variety is only released once it outperforms the standard across multiple seasons and locations.
The breeding program
Our program combines classical selection with modern marker-assisted screening. We maintain living germplasm collections, run controlled crosses each season, and validate every advanced line in on-farm trials before any commercial release. Disease resistance, fruit quality and yield stability are weighted equally — we don't trade one for the other.
Milestones
A family selection plot
The first Brand Seed lines are selected by hand on a single trial field.
Dedicated breeding station
A permanent research station is established with germplasm collections and controlled crossing houses.
Marker-assisted screening
Molecular tools join the program, accelerating selection for disease resistance.
Multi-governorate trials
Advanced lines are validated across two dozen governorates and planting dates each season.
120 varieties and counting
The catalogue passes 120 released hybrids, all locally trialled before launch.
Led by people who read fields, not just data.
Our senior breeders have spent decades walking trial plots across the region. They combine formal training in plant genetics with an instinct earned only by seasons in the sun — and they mentor the next generation of agronomists on our team.
